The reason I sold the A7r and bought the A7, it won't be a problem on the A7...not seeing any of the slight shutter shock blur on the A7 as I did on A7r...

How tight is the lens on the A7r mount? Does it rock back/forth or shake opening the flange or both?

I think the reason Sony went with the strong front face on the A7r was to eliminate any flexing movement and shutter shock, the the "cone heads" built a "loose' themselves in the foot...

Mr Ichiro Kitao, I support the call to upgrade the FZ50.
I will not only buy one but two no questions asked...

Because plastic deadens shock better then metal, this maybe an unexpected advantage of the a7r having a plastic front plate.

No, plastic is worse than metal absorbing shock. Plastic has lower losses and attenuation of vibrations, though it's not known what the contribution of the mount itself is in this case.
