How much better is 80-400 AF-S vs 70-200 F2.8 with TCIII 2.0

I frequently go on nature walks with my 70-200 + TCIII 2.0. I find this combination "Pretty Good". Sharpness OK, Bokeh very nice, focus fast and accurate, size and weight noticeable but doesn't bother me that much, VR pretty effective. I usually find myself shooting this combination wide open.

The reviews for the 80-400 AF-S are consistently positive.  It seems ideal for this use, and there is little question I would like it better. My question is "How much?". During actual use, is the difference "night vs. day", or is it something I will only see by pixel peeking.  How does the bokeh compare. How much better is the VR?  How much easier is it to carry? Is zoom creep a factor? I don't expect it to be as "tough" and moisture resistant as the 70-200, but is it reasonable?  Any other options I should consider.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.
