Found receipt, replaced bulb, now they won't dim together

Well, what do you know? It's 2014, and one of those "25-year" LED bulbs in my bathroom is nearing the end of its life. It's running hot to the touch (only the heat sync is hot though, the glass stays cool), but most importantly, after being on for 30 minutes it starts strobbing. The strobbing is very pronounced, and quite unpleasant.

The store still has that model of LED bulbs - they cost just $10 nowadays. And the packaging says "in case of failure, bring to the store for replacement".

Except I can't find the original receipt, and the store (imagine that) can't find a record of the sale.

Moral of the story? Don't expect the LEDs to last much longer than the 3-year warranty. And save your receipts.

Well, turns out I had stored both the receipt and the original packaging. Got a replacement bulb in the local store.

Turns out, the bulbs have a 2-year warranty, not 3-year.  But since it's been under 3 years, I was eligible to replace the bulb (the packaging helpfully says "Bring to the store for replacement").  Saving the packaging together with the receipt was a good move.  The store refunded the price (except, instead of refunding the $20 I originally paid for the bulb, they refunded todays price, which is $10). Still, that got me a very similar bulb - same manufacturer, same light temperature, same luminosity. So, I have three working bulbs in the fixture again, and they no longer flicker.

The only problem I have now, is that the new bulb has a different response to the dimmer switch.  When the older two bulbs get to about 1/3 brightness, the new bulb goes out completely.  So when the lights are dimmed, it looks like I have a burned out bulb in the fixture.

Don't think I can do anything about this, short of replacing the other two bulbs.  I'll ask the store, see what they say.
