Yes. This true.

Another thing is that the lenses in the Zeiss ZF.2/ZE series are designed to "look" similar to one another, so that if you are shooting an event with multi-lens, then the photos you capture will have that similar look. I think this is why many people start off with one Zeiss lens, then, add others.

Maybe this isnt super important for still photos.. but, its one of the selling points of the CP cine lenses (which are optically the same as Zf/Ze).

Suggest you try yourself and see what you think.

As mentioned by IG (from memory) above, you might also consider the 135 APO which is in a different class (which is should be as a newer design to the 100) but more expensive.
