Sigma 3.5 / 14mm green coloration of edges

Hi,

I went out with my sd-1 with my new-old 14mm lens to find out how the bug-eyed works. I was a bit confused after finding greenish coloration particularly on the edges of frame. Not in all photos but mostly in those taken on shore partly covered by ice. Weather was light cloudy. After playing with SPP I find out that it was easy to remove the coloration with Fringe Correction of SPP. Still wondering where it comes from? Is the lens somehow incompatible with sd1? Is there something wrong with the lens itself? Any advice? Thanks!
