60D vs E-M5 at an Airshow

I had a chance to go to the LA County Airshow. It was a great time to do a head to head comparison between my Canon 60D and my E-M5. In this case, the 60D is the winner. I wrote a little post about it here if there is any interest:

Here is an example that I used in my website post:

A pair of A-4 Skyhawks, Canon 60D with 200-500mm Tamron

Olympus E-M5 with 45-200mm Panasonic Lens

I'm showing my dirty laundry, but I wanted to be honest. I did manage to get a few good shots of planes in flight, but the keeper rate with the E-M5 was nowhere near the 60D.

To be fair to the E-M5, here's one where it did actually lock on and focus on a moving object:

Olympus E-M5 with Panasonic 45-200mm lens.

I still really like my E-M5, but it's not the best choice for an airshow (at least not for me). I have the 60D so I'm not sure if I will try to sell it for an E-M1. Not just yet anyway.
