canon sx50 vs olympus sp-100ee and other superzooms
I had a look at some bridge cameras/superzooms instore today. The canon sx 50 ($499), and sx510 ($249), Olympus sp-100ee ($449), Nikon l830 ($279) and p600 ($549) and canon sx 700 ($399), Panasonic tz60 ($499). I was impressed with the feel and the quick focus of the Olympus and the sharpness of the back screen and the price. It felt like nearly holding a SLR. The canon sx50 felt nice too. I liked the compactness of the canon sx700 and Panasonic. The Nikon was quite impressive, quite large though. Choices. I think I narrowed it down to The canon sx700, the Nikon L830 (because if price $279), Olympus sp-100ee , canon sx50 . I would like to try the sony 60 and Panasonic tz60 as they are $100 more than the canon sx700 ($399). I would also like to try the new Nikon 9700 ($399).
To many choices, most important is image quality but I also like features like panorama, HDR. Which I wish canon had? I will have to wait till I read reviews comparing them all. I do have a canon ixus 255 (ELPH 330) which I am happy with but need more zoom for landscapes etc.
