Across the River - Sutton Place Enfused
6

When I was at Roosevelt Island last week, one of the nicer things was it being warm enough to sit and relax. Arrived before sunset, but there wasn't much of a show to be had. While waiting for the dark, there was one spot across the river that caught my eye, older buildings in shadow that had some sort of intriguing character. Sutton Place character, I believe.

There was a hint of sunset color, and if anything could be done with that, it was HDR or blended exposures. This below is the 3rd of a 5 exposure 1-stop bracketed series for a sense of that moment.

The eye could see slightly more detail in the shadows, slightly more color in the sky, and a single exposure just wouldn't cut it. The 5 exposures put through Enfuse produced this:

And there's the exposure on which to draw out what lurks within. With quite a bit of the labor of love following the blending, this seemed about right.

I was sitting on those exposures, only attempted to see what could come of them today. I'm just more impressed with the 12-40/2.8 every day, and the kit in general.
