I concur with the touchscreen bit.

My little girl runs around all the time when I'm taking a picture of her and just wont stop moving. Touchscreen to focus/shoot works excellent.

Training the center to focus on her works but my composition goes off this way. If I'm using autofocus with her, I go by touchscreen S-AF when she's running around. Otherwise I'm manual.

I don't have a daughter but I have a cat. Touch focus and shutter really helps avoid that "my grandmother shot this with a disposable 35mm" look. Touch focus (w/o shutter) is great for action photography as well. You leave the focus point where you anticipate action will go into, basically viewing the moment before it happens, and as soon as your subject is in there, fire away with a quick burst and you'll get the shot you anticipated. The fact that you can go from the left top corner to right bottom corner in one quick touch of the screen is wonderful. It helps keep your composition process from getting stale and boring. It's also very useful for when you go from portrait to landscape and immediately need to take a new picture.

Does the GX7 work that way as well?
