I had the same dilemma and went with the 75.

If your using it outdoors lots, then the 35-100 weatherproofing may be preferred. If you want it for low light, then the 75mm.

In my case I also have the 60mm macro to cover for bad weather telephoto.

In my case the 75 and 60mm are in the same price range as the 35-100. About 1400 vs 1350.
