I think that I made clear that the X-Pro 1 is not a sports photography camera. It has other qualities for different use cases that are also based on the rangefinder style layout of the camera body.

But I don't see why you should not have been able to take a photo like you've shown from the rodeo with a X-Pro 1. The horse seems to be moving along the plane of focus and that is not much of a challenge for the AF (if you know how or where to aim the CDAF at).

And if you need 10 frames a second from a camera the X-Pro 1 is a terrible choice. I don't use anything else but single frame. But I come from film and try to make each photo count.
