Rainproof Backpacking Setup - What do you suggest?

I'm normally a canon shooter (5DII 24-105 f4 & 100-200L f4) but I'm looking for a complementary lighter & weather resistant system for long distance, multi day backpacking - i was about to go micro four thirds with Panasonic GH3 (or upcoming Gh4) when I came across the Pentax options which looks more durable and offering better IQ. Not knowing anything about this system I'd appreciate some advice.

Some factors for me:

• I'd be looking to print - so corner to corner sharpness and detail is important

• Based in the uk - lots of rain!

• Fast apertures not important f4 or slower fine i use a tripod a lot

• Light weight 1 or 2 lens solution (cover wide 24ish to tele 200ish FF equivalent) happy to compromise here to get a smaller range with better quality

From what i understand from the Pentax website I'd be best served with either a K-3 or a K-5 IIS?

As for lenses the 18-135WR appeals for the reduction in weight - i understand it ail be  compromise. Can this lens do justice to either the K3 or K5IIS? are there any better options?

Thanks for any pointers!
