Birds In Sharp Focus, f/5.6 @ 400mm, 70-400mm G, A99

I went into the woods this morning to photograph some birds with my 70-400mm G at 400mm and f/5.6.

All images were hand held from a standing position (no propping lens on anything). I had my camera on Manual, AF-S, Spot (I tried to get a focus on the birds eye and hold the camera steady).

The DOF is very shallow but take a look at the images (around the bird's eye) on DPreview at 100% and let me know what you think about my focus, sharpness and steadiness / motion blur.

Images were shot in RAW and post process in PS CS6 and cropped at around 35% to 40%:
