The 20-50 is optically superior not only to the Sammy 18-55 but most mirrorless kit lenses .
You can`t get much better than pin sharp edge to edge at F3.5 with minimal CA and superb sample consistency (tried numerous samples, all performed the same) , I`ve not seen an 18-55 which comes close .. the only 18-55s which match or beat the Sammy 20-50 from my experience are the Canon EOS-M one and the far more expensive Fuji F2.8-4 at F3.5-5.6 and that includes DSLR 18-55s and Micro 4/3 14-42/45 kit lenses etc.
