Is the 12-40mm good enough to forego 12mm, 17mm, 25mm and 45mm primes?

Re: Since you own it and you know your needs

For me a lens like the 20mm pana, or 17mm oly cannot be easily be replaced by the zoom in low light situations. Ditto the 45mm f1.8. But if you do not shoot in low light very often then it does not really matter. I do not have the 12-40, but I have the pana 35-100, and fine as it is, there is no way it competes with the 45mm oly in terms of speed or size.

Flexibilty works both ways. Flexibility to zoom without changing lens, and flexibility to carry small kit when you want to. If you can keep both the zoom and primes then why not?
