I have just purchased a Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 2014.

Now I am in the market for an OTG card reader for images from my SD card from my Lumix G6

Any experiences with - models & suppliers would be appreciated.

Also leads on the best apps & or file set up to handle snaps.

I hope to use this to manage photos while travelling.

I'm looking for something similar for my LG GPad 8.3 which has a micro-USB connector (which most tablets use nowadays, but don't know about Galaxy 2014 tablets). What I didn't see mentioned here are OTG cardreaders that plug directly in the USB port; to me this seems more convenient especially when used on location, as you don't have a gadget dangling from your tablet/phone and you don't need a separate OTG cable (which can get lost or damaged).

There are many such devices available, including one from Samsung themselves (priced $5-10, but don't know if it works for Galaxy note 2014). Prices start at a few dollars, but I haven't seen many reviews yet. Probably some are faster (although I guess USB2 is the only real limit in transfer speed) or more sturdy than others. Some examples:
