question about the upper-right AF and * buttons

Nitpicky question but I'll ask anyway. A couple years ago I upgraded from XSi to T2i.

On the XSi, the 2 upper-right buttons on the back pace (the * and AF buttons) had good touch-feel. They were easy to press and clearly "popped" when activated.

The same buttons on the T2i, IMO suck. They're harder to press, feel recessed into the panel and mushy (no touch feedback when contact is made).

My question is whether this has been improved on the newer models.  (Seems plausible; Canon was wise enough to restore the viewfinder proximity sensor in the T4i!
