You may also find that focus is much easier on the tamron macro than trying to focus by fly-by-wire. This assumes that your macro work is focused manually. I have owned several macro lenses in the past 9 years and quickly found manual focus to be far better than AF for close subjects. For nature type work longer is much better. 60mm is short to shoot bugs... I used to use the Sigma 150 f/2.8 macro, often with a Sigma 1.4x TC but sold that last year as i wanted a real aperture ring to use with my Fuji camera.
