X-Pro2, more Mega Pixels or improved 16MP sensor?

Fuji will release...

a camera with higher pixel count. This is ok and reflects the advances of sensor development. 3 years ago the Nex-7 sensor was a bit over the top: Very good low ISO results, but not so good in higher ISO because of unusual pixel density. Just as the Nikon D2x 12MP sensor years before.

But the Newer Nikons with 24MP and probably also the new Sony alpha 6000 show that 24MP will become standard sooner or later. Which is good, because more MP - when well controlled - will reduce the Bayer pattern mistakes and artefacts. When downsized to 16 or 12MP the result will be superior to a 12 or 16MP camera.

As Sony apparently now builds such a sensor again, I guess we will see it in various cameras in a forseeable future. Fuji will take off the AA Filter and colour filter and put their X- Trans stuff on top.
