The Great Salt Lake mudflats and an SX50

Here are some shots I took while taking a walk/slog on the mudflats.

A lone antelope I passed on the way. The Wasatch front in the background.

An army of old pilings on the horizon, with the Stansbury range in the background.

The remaining bones of a long dead pier, with Stansbury Island in the distance.

The mudflats with Antelope Island, left and the snow capped Wasatch range running right to center right.

An old wooden pipeline leading into the lake.

Another view of the wooden pipeline, with a intact section of the original wood pipe. Antelope Island in the background.

The end of the pipeline. Stansbury Island in the background.

A pano showing the Oquirrh mountains (left) the Stansbury range (distant center) and Stansbury Island (distant right).

A pano showing an old structure, with Stansbury Island (left) and Antelope Island (right).

A freshwater pool on the edge of the mudflats. Antelope Island in the background.

Thanks for looking.
