Adopting early does not bring money at first place, but is a chance for the future. I think at least Sony do it right. Mirrorless cameras can only get better, where the mirrored cameras have reached it limits. Compare to film vs digital cameras. Next step is getting rid of mirror, as it was needed technically and complicates things and cost more (in long run).
