I cant try it anymore (sold nx300 since I got nx30), someone should check remote App to see if it has any additional controls.

That is exactly what I am hoping for it is a much needed firmware update. I am also wondering why jump from 1.33 straight to 1.4.0 when this is normally only done when there are significant changes usually it would have been 1.33 ->1.34

Umm, dude, they did go from 1.33 to 1.34, I guess you missed it, lol. Then then went from 1.34 to 1.4. Something we haven't really talked about is this innocuous statement that they: "- Improved AF performance and color shading." My guess is that they brought the firmware a lot more in line with with the NX30 firmware and that leaving off the extra app functionality was intentional, as the NX30 is still very new, so they want marketable differences, whereas marketing on improved AF is a bit more ephemeral unless you made a dramatic leap. So, I think there was probably some major changes in this firmware, probably support for some new products as well, like perhaps the SEF-580. Maybe not though, maybe that will come later.

One would expect some features to be NX30 specific, such as a more robust remote viewer app, but the intentional omission of Dropbox uploading over WiFi for the NX300 when the NX30 has it is very irritating.

I do a lot of eBay business, and the one advantage my S4 has is automatic DB uploading so I can just grab the pics right from my PC within seconds of taking them. I see no tech reason for omitting DB u/l from the NX300, nor any marketing advantage it gives the NX30. Seems very unlikely anyone with an NX300 budget would be debating between the two.

Samsung: Please bring Dropbox to NX300. Some of us really need that feature.

You can convince it to upload to dropbox, but you have to jump through some hoops and need windows to get it set up. If you go to http://link.samsung.com/ create an account there (Samsung Link replaced AllShare Play, which is how it is still referred to in the camera), then install the Samsung link application so they let you into the options on the site, in there you are able to configure several different web storage systems, you can set up dropbox as the default one.  Then on the NX300 you should be able to upload to it as follows:

Wi-Fi Dial -> Allshare Play -> Web Storage -> connect to the network -> sign in to Samsung Link -> choose the photos and hit upload.
