You may have a point... my portraits are probably not best described as "everyday".

I did shoot a wedding not too long ago with my 85/1.4, and all at f/1.4. But I was the "alternative" photog and "wacky" was acceptable. Had I been the primary (which I do not possess the skills for) I would have deepened the DoF.
