I have a Mac and have used Aperture for years, it is good, very good on a traditional sensor. You also use Iridient* but will need another program to send your images to for cataloging and possibly more work (although minor, but if you are a NIK user you will need to use it in Aperture or Lightroom with or without Iridient). CaptureOne is another great program. I am not a big fan of LR5 but many love it, it all depends I believe on what you have started on. Aperture 4 is supposed to be coming out soon and from all that is said about it we should see a major upgrade. Good luck, lots of good choices.
