Thoughts on FA 77mm Ltd vs Tamron 28 - 75 f/2.8 for portraits?

I purchased a Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 about 5 month ago for portraits and while a good lens with usable range I keep hearing how awesome the Pentax 77 ltd is.  With the sale going on through tomorrow I'm wondering if it's worth making the move and selling of my Tamron?  I know I'll take a hit but do you think we'll ever see a better deal on the 77 ltd?

After reading the reviews I know the Pentax is superior in just about every way as far as sharpness, color, contrast and bokeh but am I going to me limited (no pun intended) by having just a 77mm lens instead of the Tamron which has a range of 28 - 75mm?

Thoughts, advice or comments?

Thanks,

Scott
