not for me - well over 90% of my shooting is landscapes and people pictures. For landscapes the lighting is normally pretty good and when it isn't I use a tripod. For people I find that even people who are standing still are actually moving fast enough that if I want really sharp eyes I better have a decent shutter speed.

the two lenses I use exclusively are my sigma lenses and neither one even has OSS and I really don't miss it.

As a side note I have been amazed the few times I have shot hand held in low light with non moving subjects how well the hand healed twilight mode seems to pretty much make up for not having oss

now - this is just me and my shooting style - others here very well might find oss to be indispensable
