Re: AC-1 (one!) ADAPTER FOR E-M1

Τoday I have used my AC-1 adapter from my E-system and works fine with E-M1+HLD7, no battery needed.

Thank you! Your experiment with your EM-1 has emboldened me to do the same with mine!

I just got the battery grip for the EM-1, after selling the two-part one for my OM-D, because I am much more likely to use my FT and other larger lenses on the EM-1. I noticed the AC port, and on opining, that the power socket seemed identical, or at least very similar to that on my E-1 and E 5 . Having recently been given an AC-1 by a friend I tried to plug it in and noted that the jack fit perfectly.

I have never having used such a device, but the time-lapse and cumulative exposure options on the EM-1 make it a very attractive option.

With no intent to be disrespectful to other posters here, I rather doubt that there are important differences between the AC-1 and the apparently similarly-rated AC-3.  If there are, then they certainly should have changed the plug and socket.
