The adjustments made to colour, brightness and contrast on a JPEG are very much more limited and inferior to making the adjustments in RAW and then saving them as a JPEG.  The adjustments to colour temperature are also much simpler to do and look far better when they are done in post processing.

I repeat, JPEGs from the camera are good, RAW is better - especially when making adjustments.
