This shot is what convinced me to shoot in RAW (RX10)

I do believe it, RAW are better OK!, but I justify using RAW only for very special and/or professional works, doing it for family/pets/aficionado shots it's a total waste of memory, computer resources, time and money, even worst if it's for Internet purposes.

As Chris's said, PP RAWs can produce just "marginally better" (although important sometimes) images than well processed JPGs, but JPG IQ is more than enough for me (except doing special jobs) and I'd bet that it's so for most of the people, including RAW fanatics that wouldn't like to admit.

My only concern about using JPG are compression artifacts, which degrades IQ progressively as long as consecutively stacking "opening&saving" a file, so I avoid doing it as hell and just the same as RAW files I keep original JPGs apart for posterior re-post processing if needed.
