E-5 vs E620 rainforest birding

Dear all

I am trying to decide if the E-5 will be a worthy upgrade to my E620 for an upcoming trip to Borneo. I took my existing kit to Madagascar and was generally happy except with trying to photograph birds in the rainforest shade. I used a flash for some shots with reasonable results.

I have been uming and ahing about the E-5 for ages, the weight being the biggest blocker to my decision. We will be on foot walking trails a fair bit on this trip.

I have a grip on the E620 and a backup E600. So currently can share batteries between the two.

Looking at getting the E-5 SH with extra batteries and no grip.

aside from the obvious sensor improvements in the E -5 would it be noticably faster at focusing than the E620 with the grip, without a grip on the E-5?
