Since you say the majority of your images are taken nearer the 18 mm end of your 18-55, maybe the 16-70 F4 would be a better choice.

Yes, I forgot to mention the 16-70z F4, but the thing is it is too much expensive for me for the moment. The difference in image quality is not that big in my opinion.

If the 18-105G and the 16-70z would be in the same range price, It would be a matter of deciding between a bit more quality with less range, or a bit less quality with more range.

But, considering the image quality could be more or less on par in the 18-70 range, paying almost double for the 16-70z for just:

-Reducing the size

-Same aperture

-2mm extra wide but not having the 70-105 range

is too much for me and just in my opinion it is not worth.

I think the 18-105 is a better value for money.

For the same cost, I'd get a 18-105G + 16f2.8 + 50f1.8 rather than a 16-70z.
