The only disadvantages of the D800 are:

Big Files

Not as good a FPS rate

It lacks the very, very high ISOs

It doesn't test your technique or lenses any more than your current camera, the effect is that to see the maximum benefit you need impeccable technique and optics.  It is getting the gain that is testing, not keeping the status quo, though hand held in a good light with my 35-70 2.8D it is obviously loads better than the D200.

It has high ISO performance comparable with the D4/DF if you believe Ken (yes, I know) Rockwell's comparisons.

Frankly all the cameras on this thread will give fantastic results.
