BIF's, birds and a NEX-7 with a 500mm

Off to the estuary yesterday ............ because I HAVE to !! or is it I need to. NEX-7 and Canon FD 500 F/4.5L

The oddest shot I've ever taking by far this one. The human body with a 500mm lens is not supposed to go directly upwards I've decided, not at my age anyway. LOL. Its also a reason why the need to hand hold the 500mm, if this was on a tripod, it would be impossible to get.

Royal Spoonbill's, straight up

Slowly coming around

Felt really strange by this stage

What else was there

Aww yeah, Stilts

So a Stilt being followed by a spur winged Plover

Stilt coming in to cause trouble

Stilt off and about

This Stilt had enough and was heading out

White faced Heron's were doing their normal antics

White faced Heron just sneaking around

Another Heron flying off and this is what you get for shooting into the wrong side of the sun. Thank goodness for LR.

A duck, not quite sure what one this is though, I'll need to check that one ....... there we go, a Grey Teal duck

Well of course, no surprise a Sacred Kingfisher

All the best as always folks and a few from yesterday.
