I still wanted the background to be OOF otherwise it would have been just a flat image, I just wanted more of it and not just creamy like my 85 1.4.  These were not planned at all, I told them I wanted just a totally natural shot and it took about 30 seconds each.  If I had spent more time it would have become posed.  The slight softness was just a miscalculation on my part that is easy enough to fix next time, I just wanted to get going in the right direction as far as seeing with this lens
