A lot of good advice here so far.

But maybe the best advice could be: if you really want something bad, don't ask or care what others are thinking about it. Just go for it, learn and enjoy it, and if you are disappointed for any reason, put it on "For sale" forum for a relatively small loss. Consider that a price of education.
