When the RX100 mark ii first came out, there was a lot of discussion here as to why the original RX100's images looked better. It was because they were sharpened more. If you prefer that look, then just turn up the sharpening settings on the Sony camera, or add a little USM in post processing.

When I first started taking photos, I sharpened the heck out of them in post. When I go back to look at them now, sometimes I burst out laughing.

This is just my take on the images, just my opinion.

In addition to that you are comparing sensors of very different size - 13MP vs.20MP. Seen at 100% the higher resolution displays the shortcomings of the lens in major level.

However the comparison test of the RX100II in DPreview do not confirm the same result. The RX100 II looks sharper in their settings.
