I've noted of late that for my taste people are just leaving their shutters open too long for flowing water pictures, be they waterfalls or streams.

The water is so blurred that it no longer looks like water - just an blurred long blob.

I think the 1/8 second for this e-pl1 picture is just about right:

One picture I recently looked at had a 30 second exposure.

What have been your experiences?
