So you have the 18-140 kit lens that comes with it? Is it better than the 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 that I purchased as a separate lens?

I'll be happy to run with it if it performs better.

I've done some rather informal resolution tests and it's quite good at the long end (100-140mm), particularly when stopped down. At shorter focal lengths, the performance is more "average"; 40mm seemed to be the low point, with fairly soft edges.

That said, it's a good lens for general work, and I have no complaints, but I don't think that I'd make a point of seeking it out in preference to similar lenses.
