Since you are ignorant about this new lens, how can you possibly make an effective comparison of it with the Sigma?   You are just talking out of the top of your hat.

This Nikkor costs $300 less than the Sigma, and is HALF the weight.  The weight advantage alone would give it quite a few fans.  Combine that with saving $300 too, and I'm confident that this lens will be popular.   The IQ from these sample photos is very promising.
