Upgrading from a D90--D7000 or D7100

I am looking at cameras and seeing there's a 300-500 price difference between the 7000 and the 7100.

Is the D7100 really that much better? Fwiw..I shoot sports, macro, and flowers/bees/butterflies.

Are there any advantages to skipping these all together and going full frame with the D610? I understand that there might be some issues with the lenses if I go that route.

And no..money is a massive object but I can justify spending the extra if it is something that I will use as often as my Nikon D90.

Does anyone have thoughts about the 7000 over the 7100 or vice versa since there is such a huge price difference.

I just don't know how often I'll use this device in low light that will make use of the 7100's low light features.
