I've been seeing pictures of this odd little camera everywhere today, and I will confess to being intrigued. The perfect pocket camera still eludes me ... The most interesting thing about this candidate is that it seems to offer a prime lens as an option, which would be novel to say the least in the pocket camera field. However, the 24mm FOV is way too wide for me. I can see why a pancake wide angle is an appealing choice from a packaging standpoint, but when even a camera phone offers me a 33 or 35 mm FOV. I can't see going even wider.
How 'bout the small sensor equivalent of a fast fifty, what would that be, a 19 or 20 mm? Then, we're talking, especially if the body comes in a nice leatherette brown instead of the pink.
Any chance of there being a range of lenses for this camera?
Nikon has an 18.5mm for the 1 line, which is the same FOV as a 50mm on full frame.
I agree - hopefully Samsung will announce the development of a couple narrower primes and a telephoto zoom. Samsung did release a roadmap when they initially announced NX back in 2010 or so; it'd be nice if history repeats.
I wonder if Samsung has allocated the necessary resource to manage 2 different lens roadmaps. I have my concerns.
