My bird outing. Yikes! Instruction needed.

Saturday I went to a park I had never been to before and it turned out to be a fantastic place to see a large quantity and variety of birds.

I am NOT posting these photos because:

  1. I think they are good
  2. I like to humiliate myself in front of people from six of the seven continents

I AM posting these because:

  1. I will be going back to this great birding place and want to do better next time
  2. I think they fairly represent the multitude of problems I had
  3. I hope to have better light when I return and I want to correct my other mistakes so I don't waste it

Most of the time my E-M1 / 50-200 1.4 TC was on a tripod. I had the ball head fairly loose most of the time so I could react to the birds movement quickly. These weren't remote shutter shots.

The first shot taken with my 12-40 is to show you the kind of day it was. There rest are the best I could salvage.
