As an aside, a 6x7 negative will scan up to a 100mp image. Digital still has a way to go yet, though the Leaf backs are getting there. At some point you might not have to be a Rothschild to afford one, too.

You can keep scanning 6x7 to get an ever increasingly larger file but that doesn't mean you are going to get any usable detail.
