I found a new AF mode on A99!

Ok may be its not new, but its new to me. I never noticed it existence till someone (William Curtindale) suggested I look at AF-C for wildlife. I already knew about AF-C but I looked it up on my camera just to be sure of the AF options. I also knew about AF-D, DMF and AF-S. But I noticed a 'AF-A'.

Is this like AF auto? So will it choose the AF-D automatically for the right lenses or something becoz it doesn't with my CZ (I am sure I have the correct firmware)? I use DMF normally/most and it doesn't seem to pick DMF automatically either for the screw lenses. Sorry if this is a stupid question but why is it there? It doesn't seem automatic does anyone use this or am I looking at it wrong!? (I assumed A meant 'auto', probably means something else)

Looks like I am missing out of something

Edit: Or is this an option to be used with Auto/P mode? Don't see that what difference that'd make tbh!
