Should you switch systems is a question only you can answer. If you are still happy with the EPM1, get a new lens for it, get the new kit lens, or the 17MM f2.8, both are very cheap. Or get the 45MM f1.8 now while it is on sale for $350.

I think you are better off waiting for the EPM3, or some other next gen Olympus camera. EPM2 is a good jump from what you have, but we are going on a 2 years since the 16MP sensor came out in the OMD EM5. I am sure a new sensor is on the way.

But anyway, lenses can last forever, if you get the 45MM f1.8 you will most likely keep it for 10+ years, and 4+ new camera bodies.

I say stay with MFT, but that is what I use and prefer. The EPM1 and its 12MP sensor has a nice character to it, I would keep it even in the future it will be fun to pull the old camera out and shoot some pics with it.
