Here is a shot of a mirror less camera that was first released in February, 1900 and later models became known as the brownie camera after millions were sold:

Brownie Hawkeye Flash Probably made in Canada somewhere between 1949-1961

This camera model was made in the US, France and Canada. It used 6X6cm film (620) and had the advanced feature of a concave curved film plane to make "in-camera" lens correction . One could get a "close up" and "cloud effect" lens attachment. The original camera was made of cardboard in the year 1900 and sold for 1$. That's correct a medium format camera for 1$. This version has a bakelite body (doubt if it is WR). Imagine the cost of magnesium flash bulbs! So Medium format mirror less has been around for a while.

Cheers.
