The price difference may be more than $300 once you factor in a set of filter, clear, CPL and/or ND into the mix. So with filters the price difference might be closer to $400.

If you have the 18-55 the 14mm is a nice compliment as they share the same filters and hood. The 10-24 looks like the 18-55 on steroids - not that there is anything wrong with that.

Since the 14mm is on sale for a limited time, without a camera purchase, if you get the 14mm for $700 you can sell it for $750 in 3 months when the sale has long gone. So you risk little and get to shoot wide today!!!
