No.

I've found it is very inconvenient to keep camera before me with my hands stretched and at the same time to rotate a focus ring

Not a problem at all, if the camera has an articulating LCD. Fold the LCD out parallel to the ground, hang camera from the neck strap with the edge of the LCD gently pressed against your gut. Hold camera with right hand to steady it and work the shutter button; rotate lens' focusing ring with left hand. Magnify image if desired to see it even better. Works like a charm.

As GH2 camera (articulated LCD) owner I swear:

When edge of the LCD gently pressed against my gut, LCD gets dark because of proximity of the eye sensor.

My E-M5 and E-M1 don't seem to have any problems with their eye sensors being hyper sensitive (I leave the sensor activated but shoot with the folded out LCD most of the time).  As I recall, one of my other cameras had a very sensitive eye sensor.  It would make the LCD turn off when I just held the camera in my lap to fool around with settings, so it got to be a real pain.  To get around it I would push the button on the side of the EVF when I wanted to use it, and give it a push again when I wanted to disable it and go back to using the LCD.

Of course, due to my shaky hands I actually PREFER the folded out LCD over the EVF in nearly all cases, because I get steadier images that way. YMMV.
