I wanted to try a shorter lens for the BIF I have been doing so I pulled my Carl Zeiss 135mm f/1.8 out.  The lens was the perfect focal length for what I have been doing,  I still have lots of refinement for shooting these birds with this lens and if weather permits will try again.

Below are some of my images from today with the 135mm and A99 (hand held, RAW, PP in PS CS6):
