Right. If I were to do the test with a pair of lenses from the same brand and era—say a Y/C Zeiss 50/1.4 at f/2 on m43 and a Y/C Zeiss 100/2 at f/4 on the Sony—the resulting photos would be more similar in OOF character. Both lenses are Planar (double gauss) designs. The great thing about both systems is the sheer number of different lenses with different looks you can use.
